I formed this group because I wanted a band that played old time, country, and folk music, but I wanted it to have some specific focus. I chose trains because I love them, I think we need them, I wanted to encourage people to ride them, and there are a bazillion great train songs to choose from. We performed for several years for schools, libraries, and train events, and we had just started to record an album when I lost my housing and had to move away from the area, which derailed the whole project (so to speak). But at least we got these four songs recorded, which was our demo. Maybe we’ll finish the album someday…. Wabash Cannonball trad. Definitely and oldie-but-goodie train song. Golden Rocket Clarence Snow It’s a great song, and I love playing the banjo/guitar duet intro with Michael on this one. Travel Edna St Vincent Millay (lyrics); Ingrid Noyes (music) I just love this poem, but I don’t often go around reciting poetry, so one day I sat down and set it to music and now it’s one of my favorite songs. See that Train Delmore Brothers We love these old brother duets! Ingrid Noyes (vocals, guitar, and banjo) and her original Railroaders: Michael Harmon (vocals, guitar) Danny Carnahan (vocals, fiddle) Bill Foss (bass) Paul Herzoff (harmonica) Recorded and mixed in 2002 by Michael Harmon in Oakland CA
